Hi there and nice to meet you! My name is Chantal van Mierlo and when I’m designing, I transform into Skandaloe. I am an illustrator based in Zwolle, the Netherlands. Here I live in my colourful house with my cat, a printer and a cutting machine.
I graduated in Illustration (BA) at CABK School of Arts in Zwolle, the Netherlands and in Storytelling (MA) at Sint Lukas in Brussels, Belgium, Funded by Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds, fund for creative talent.
Colors, white spaces and decorative elements play a huge role in my illustrations. Besides that, I love typography and hand lettering. My illustrations are suitable for editorial and educational purposes.
I find a lot of pleasure in creating illustrations, patterns and designs for packages. Some of my previous clients are: Zwijsen, Verkade, Kassa, Libelle Mama, Flow and Kiind magazine.
